Juventus want lower valuation before they can sign Lyon star

Juventus have been linked with a move for Lucas Paqueta as he revives his career at Lyon after joining them in 2020.

The Brazilian had been on AC Milan’s books earlier in his career and struggled before leaving for the French club.

He became a top player for them in national and international competitions which attracted a lot of attention.

Juve have been watching him as he returns to form and the Bianconeri could make a move for him by the end of this season.

Tutomercatowebhowever, claims they might be put off by his valuation set by the Ligue 1 outfit. He says Lyon want to sell him for around €60m and that fee is just too expensive for Juventus.

Although the Bianconeri face competition from PSG, they are still willing to push to land him, but they need his current employers to drop their asking price significantly.

Juve FC says

Player valuations have skyrocketed in recent seasons due to the constant inflation the world is experiencing.

Lyon will naturally want to take advantage of this as they have helped make Paqueta a new top player.

He has regained his confidence and will thrive if he returns to Serie A with Juve, but €60m is too much for the Brazilian.

If we really want to add him to Max Allegri’s dressing room, we could negotiate a favorable deal with his current employers.
