Hod Hasharon (Israel), March 14, 2022 Singapore Exchange Mainboard and Tel Aviv Exchange listed Sarine Technologies Ltd (“Sarine” and with its subsidiaries “the group”) (U77:SI; SARN.TA)a world leader in the development, manufacture, marketing and sale of precision technology products for the appraisal, planning, processing, measurement, grading and trading of diamonds and gemstones, is pleased to announce that it has launched a new service for valuation and valuation reports of rough diamonds for various purposes – trading, financing, insurance, etc.
Valuation of rough diamonds for these purposes will be based on industry-leading Sarine’s Galaxy expertise.®DiaExpert® and advise® technologies, as well as additional data gathered if necessary. The rough diamond is thoroughly analyzed and documented – its weight, external geometry, internal structure, tension (strain), estimated color and fluorescence, etc. are digitally measured and recorded, including visual graphics and video where applicable. Our new service then takes the process two steps forward. The raw stone’s digital information is first processed by Sarine’s most advanced advisor® Planning package 8.0 with many optimal solutions generated. This process results in a realistic and reliable prediction of the polished diamonds that can be produced from the given rough stone. The various polished diamonds resulting from these solutions are then valued based on current pricing data from multiple sources, with the value further refined using various statistical analyzes and weightings. The data thus derived provides an actual dollar range of the market value and marketability of polished diamonds that can be made from the rough stone, indicating its market value.

Additionally, Sarine’s Diamond Journey™ traceability solution can be applied to document intended rough and polished diamonds, to later verify the identity of rough and/or polished diamonds, for inventory control purposes or when the diamond is possibly cut and polished. . This gives the financing entity the confidence to provide the manufacturer with working capital for its polishing operations, or, alternatively, to simply provide credit against the documented rough stones as collateral, while they are still held. by their owner for sale.
The new service will be launched with the Israeli company Mazalit, allowing Mazalit and its clients, who wish to receive financing services using their rough diamonds as collateral, to enter into financing agreements with confidence. Sarine will be compensated for the new evaluation service for both the initial Galaxy prerequisite® digitization, as is the norm, and additionally by a fee proportional to the actual funding provided. Mazalit is an Israel-based group that provides financial and logistics services to the diamond industry. Mazalit draws on its expertise in the diamond industry to tailor unique financing solutions to diamond industry entities. Regulated by the Israel Capital Markets Authority and the Ministry of Finance and compliant with all required guidelines, Mazalit enables its customers to grow their business by offering supportive logistics services and advantageous financing – allowing their stock to “work” for them despite the strict constraints dictated by the Israeli authorities.
David Block, CEO of Sarine, said: “The ability to allow regulated financial entities to provide working capital against rough diamonds as collateral is an important and significant development for the diamond industry. Although rough diamonds are high-value assets that embody significant value, financing them until now has been difficult due to the highly subjective process used and the consequent difficulty in accurately assessing their value. Financing has been further hampered by the uncertainty associated with the ability to confidently identify rough diamonds over time and more so, where working capital is concerned, to verify that the planned polished diamonds, against which funding was provided, have well derived during the final stages of the process. We are proud to have developed the technology that generates the necessary data that provides realistic solutions for these questions, thus enabling a whole new field of financing tools. We are happy that Mazali t, a company that shares the same values of transparency and innovation with us, has chosen to work with us to develop this solution, and believes that the service it can now offer is an indispensable service with enormous potential.”
Zeev Maymon, CEO of Mazalit, said, “We are more than pleased with the significant increase in demand for our financing services. As we commit to meeting the growing needs of our clients, we take comfort in the ability of Sarine’s new rough diamond reports and valuations to provide us with the data necessary to do so. Based on objective technological means, Sarine’s solution allows us to increase our operations while reducing our risks. Sarine’s new valuation service allows us to integrate a robust process to automatically and accurately determine the value of rough diamonds, giving us a solid foundation for our financing calculations.”
